Army Men - Soldiers of Misfortune

Army Men: Soldiers of Misfortune is a third-person shooter by ZOO Games and DSI Games that was released in 2008. It is part of the Army Men franchise, and is one of the games that were released after 3DO, the original owner of the franchise, went bankrupt in 2003.


You play as a boy named Timmy, who must stop his tan-colored army men figures that have become sentient.

Why it Sucks

  1. Awkward and sluggish controls.
  2. Boring soundtrack.
  3. Bad and oftentimes non-existent sound effects.
  4. Extremely weak plot.
  5. It can be hard to tell whether an enemy is dead or not due to limited animation.
  6. Terrible AI that just stand still while shooting at you.


The game has been met with extremely negative reception from critics, players, and fans alike. The game has a user score of 2.5 in Metacritic, based on 6 ratings, and all of the user reviews there are negative.
