The Super Polystation 2 is a PlayStation 2 rip-off, SNES hardware clone and the successor to the Famiclone console Nintendo Polystation. It has many similarities to its predecessor, like the cartridge slot and the controllers, but it was playing Super Nintendo games, hence the term "Super". It also came with a light gun.
Why it flopped
- False advertising: it claimed to have over 99,999,999 games, while the number was much smaller.
- The box also claimed it had games like Sonic the Hedgehog, Street Fighter and Gran Turismo, none of which were in the console.
- Like its predecessor, the disc tray was fake and is actually a cartridge slot.
- The quality of the console and the controllers was terrible.
