The Lion King is a video game released in 1994 for the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo, and then ported to the Amiga, MS-DOS, Game Boy, Sega Game Gear, Master System and NES. This page will only cover the NES version released exclusively in Europe.

Why the NES version sucks

  1. Terrible graphics.
  2. Poor controls.
  3. Extremely short, consisting of only six levels.
  4. Poor ending.
  5. The game increases or decreases the amount of levels depending on the difficulty.
  6. False advertising: The back of the box claims the game to have over 10 levels, despite the game having only the aforementioned six levels.
  7. A bootleg NES port by Super Game is actually better than the official port.
